If you are interested in being in the pageant as a cast member, please download and complete the following application and read the general information provided below. You do not need to audition if you want to be an ‘extra’ in the cast (i.e., non-singing, non-speaking part). Simply read the following information and mail the completed audition information form along with a current photo and a $10 participation fee per person (or $50.00 per family) to: PO Box 260, Bath, NC 27808 or email to JUDYDOWNEY@Embarqmail.com. Application deadline is April 30th of the pageant year. Please attach/submit an updated photo of each cast member.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Applying to participate in The Promised Land Pageant requires you to live the high standards for the days you are involved. The schedule may be challenging and very demanding at times. Practices may occur in the heat of the day, for long hours at times. We ask that you commit to the rehearsals completely and be present fulltime. You will be given more information after May 15th.
PAGEANT LOCATION
Unless you have a main part, practices begin June 17th and continue daily until the pageant performance June 21-22, 2013. The performance site is inBath,North Carolina. Further instructions will be given to those who are selected to participate regarding transportation and accommodations.
CAST COMPOSITION
There are a number of opportunities for most all ages –male and female- in the Pageant. We encourage families to apply together. Typically, cast members are over six years old and ALL children under 18 must be under the supervision of a cast parent or Church leader. Childcare is not available during pageant practices and we ask that you make the needed arrangements well in advance. We plan to have “Pageant Primary” – activities for young children but please do not plan to bring them unless they are in the cast. We ask that only cast members come to pageant practices- no observers, please. Special consideration may be given for some families with younger children but permission is required.
Although the core cast will have additional practices, ALL cast members must be available during the week prior to performance dates for group practices. Pageant performance is June 21 and 22, 2013.
